Refund & Return Policy

At Sipping Viking, we take pride in ensuring our customers receive high-quality craft beverages. Please review our refund and return policy below.

All Sales Final After Inspection

Customers have the opportunity to inspect their order upon pickup or delivery. Once the product is accepted, all sales are final, and refunds or exchanges will not be provided.

Please inspect your order carefully before accepting delivery or leaving the pickup location. Check that:

  • The correct products and quantities are included
  • Packaging is intact and undamaged
  • Bottles are not broken or leaking

Exceptions for Manufacturer Defects

If a product has a manufacturer defect—such as faulty packaging, compromised seals, or an issue with the product’s formulation—you may request a refund or replacement within 30 days of purchase.

To request a refund or replacement:

  • Contact us within 30 days at info@sippingviking.ca
  • Visit us in person at the Sudbury Market (Saturdays 9am–2pm)
  • Provide proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt)
  • Provide a clear photo of the defect
  • Explain the issue in detail

Note: Refunds or replacements are at our sole discretion and will be processed within 5-7 business days after approval. We may request return of the defective product.

What Qualifies as a Defect

  • Broken or damaged bottles upon delivery (before opening)
  • Compromised seals or caps
  • Visible contamination or foreign objects
  • Off-odors or flavors that indicate spoilage (unopened products)
  • Incorrect product inside packaging

What Does Not Qualify

  • Change of mind after purchase
  • Personal taste preferences (e.g., “I didn’t like the flavor”)
  • Damage caused after acceptance (improper storage, handling, etc.)
  • Products consumed partially or fully
  • Products past their best-before date due to customer storage

Special Orders

Wholesale and Retail Orders:

  • Orders placed outside our local service area are non-refundable once processed and shipped
  • Customers must coordinate special orders by emailing sales@sippingviking.ca
  • Large wholesale orders may be subject to different terms agreed upon at time of sale

Refund Method

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method:

  • Credit card payments: Refunded to the same card (5-10 business days)
  • PayPal payments: Refunded to your PayPal account (3-5 business days)
  • Cash/debit at market: Refunded in cash at the market

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
